NCAA Tournament Region Overview

Midwest
Sleeper: Georgia Tech
The Yellow Jackets have stepped up their game as of late. Their defense has been solid and are athletic and talented enough to top UNLV and number 2 Wisconsin, who hasn't been the same team as of late.

Mid Major Team to Watch: Winthrop
This team played the big boys tough. They're experienced and can hit the 3 pointer. No doubt this team has the best chance to make a George Mason type run.

Middle seed with best shot at winning the region: Maryland
With the exception of the ACC Tournament, this team is hot right now. The experience gives this team a legit shot at the final four.

West
Sleeper: Indiana
Kelvin Sampson will have this team ready and could definitely knock off UCLA in the 2nd round. Watch out for the Hoosiers.

Mid Major Team to Watch: VCU
Experienced team with physical guards, could pressure Greg Paulus and Jon Scheyer and potentially knock off the Blue Devils.

Middle Seed with best shot at winning the region: Indiana... again
I feel this team can knock anyone off, even with the mediocre offensive scoring.

East
Sleeper: USC
This team is under the radar and are battle tested. The tough schedule will play to their benefit.

Mid Major Team to Watch: George Washington
George Washington could make a run. I like their athleticism which can get them far.

Middle Seed with best shot at winning region: Boston College
The Eagles have underachieved all year long. You never know, maybe they could get it together for the tourney. The experience is there and Jared Dudley is one of the top players in the country.

South
Sleeper: Nevada
You can't doubt this team with the likes of Nick Fazekas and Marcellus Kemp. This team matches up well if they end up playing Memphis in the 2nd round. Watch out they could make a deep run.

Mid Major Team to Watch: Creighton
This team is on fire right now and Nate Funk can take them far. Their defense is grand and the outside shooting is great. Watch out for the Blue Jays.

Middle Seed with best shot at winning region: Louisville
You can always count on Rick Pitino's team playing well in the tournament. I like this team right now with their tough individual matchups they can put up and their shooting.

Good stuff... I personally am leaning towards Notre Dame as the middle seed with potential for a nice run... should be interesting.

How does Louisville get to play their first two games near home? Unbelievable.
